In addition to a carrot cake, D has also asked for broccoli and cheddar soup as part of his birthday celebration on Saturday. He also said he'd like it served in a bread bowl, Panera-style, but I may cheat on that part and buy some already-baked sourdough boules to scoop my soup into.
